SICA Cookie Policy

Version 1.0 — 9 September 2026

This English text is a courtesy translation. The binding version is the Spanish version.

SICA uses cookies and similar technologies so that the platform works properly, to keep your session, to remember your preferences and, where applicable, to understand in aggregate how the service is used.

This page explains which technologies we use and why.

01 — Concept · What are cookies?

A cookie is a small file that a website stores on your device — computer, mobile or tablet — when you use it.

It is used, for example, to keep you signed in, remember the language you selected or save your preferences.

SICA may also use similar technologies such as localStorage, sessionStorage, authentication tokens or the application's local storage, which serve equivalent functions.

In this policy we refer to all of them generically as “cookies”.

The mobile app may also use technical mechanisms of the operating system or the app itself. Location, camera, photo or notification permissions are managed independently and are explained in the SICA Privacy Policy.

If SICA adds analytics tools that use cookies or equivalent technologies, they will be added to this list and, where legally required, will only be activated after obtaining your consent.

The list may change as SICA evolves. The current version is always the one published on this page.

04 — Consent · Your consent

The first time you access SICA from the web, where optional cookies requiring consent exist, we will show you a notice from which you can:

Accept all
Reject non-essential
Configure

Technical or strictly necessary cookies may be used in any case, as they are needed for SICA to work properly, maintain security or provide the features you request.

Rejecting optional cookies will not prevent you from using SICA's essential features.

Your choice may be stored for up to 12 months to avoid asking you again on every visit.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time from the “Cookie settings” option available in SICA.

You can change your mind whenever you want.

If you withdraw your consent, optional cookies will stop being used from that moment. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before that change.

SICA currently uses only technical and preference cookies and technologies that are strictly necessary to provide the service, so no consent notice is shown.

05 — Mobile app · Cookies and technologies in the SICA app

Mobile applications do not necessarily use traditional cookies like websites do.

The SICA app may use equivalent technologies needed to:

These technologies may include local storage, session tokens and technical identifiers.

Device permissions are independent of cookies.

When SICA needs to use features such as:

the app will request the corresponding permission through the operating system.

You can change these permissions at any time in your device settings.

06 — Management · How to manage cookies in your browser

All modern browsers let you view, block or delete cookies.

You can check the instructions for the main browsers:

Please note that blocking or deleting technical cookies may require you to sign in again or cause certain SICA features to be unavailable or work incorrectly.

07 — Data protection · Who is responsible?

08 — Changes · Changes to the policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the technologies used by SICA, new features or regulatory changes.

Where changes significantly affect optional cookies or the purposes for which they are used, we may show you the cookie notice again so you can review or update your choice.

The current version is always the one published in SICA.
